Jim Schmitt

Jim Schmitt is an enrolled agent (tax man) and a 36 year resident of the Santa Clarita Valley. After graduating from UCSB in 1982, he began an accounting career in downtown Los Angeles. In 1993, he formed his own accounting practice, ATM/ Accounting & Tax Management. Weary of the long days associated with tax season, and time away from his family, Jim sold his tax practice in 2004 to work as a controller. He still maintains a small tax and bookkeeping practice, works as the treasurer for Santa Clarita United Methodist Church, and enjoys theater and the local music scene.
