Meagan Carlson
Education
Music and theater have always been Meagan’s passion. Performing since the age of six, she was a lead performer and conductor in various college performances, and was selected as an undergraduate to participate in her university’s honors choir, opera and theater company. She has been cast in several reproductions of Broadway shows and operas in venues across the United States, such as A Rock Opera, Amahl and the Night Visitors, The Music Man, Seussical, Anything Goes, Bye Bye Birdie, A Chorus Line, Marry Poppins, The Christmas Letter, Hello Dolly, Disney's Tarzan and more. Meagan is a graduate of the Horton School of Music at Charleston Southern University, where she specialized in vocal performance with a minor in musical theater. She has performed with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra as well as the Hilton Head Choral Society as a guest soloist. She is also an experienced competitor in national vocal competitions. Since arriving in Los Angeles, Meagan has performed in the operas La Traviata, The Tales of Hoffman, and Faust and she is currently a member of the Angeles Choral and Seraphim Vocal Ensemble. In addition to performing, Meagan is an experienced music and theater coach, and has just recently joined the faculty of St. James Catholic School as a music instructor.
