LA based mezzo-soprano Rose Kreider is noted for her intensity of presence and powerful voice. An active performer, she sings with various Southern California based companies, including Opera Santa Barbara, Guild Opera, and Independent Opera Company. She is a recent graduate of California State University, Northridge (CSUN), with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Arts.
Recent roles include the Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Mathurine (L’ivrogne corrigé), the Turnspit (Rusalka), Dorabella (Cosí fan tutte), and Jennie Hildebrand (Street Scene). Additionally, she is working as an Apprentice Singer with the Verdi Chorus for the 2023-24 season.
During her time at CSU Northridge, Rose had the pleasure of studying with Diane Ketchie and working under the direction of conductor Mercedes Juan Musotto. She previously earned an Associate of Arts degree in Music from El Camino College, where she studied with dramatic soprano Erin Wood.
