Jordyn Brown
Trumpet 1
Jordyn Brown is a current master’s student at California State University, Northridge studying trumpet performance with Dr. Erick Jovel. Jordyn has also studied under Dr. Richard Hofmann, Robert Slack, Leonerd Ott, and John Goldman. Jordyn is known for her versatility in playing multiple styles and different pitched horns, including participation in CSUN’s top ensembles; Wind Ensemble, Jazz A Band, brass ensemble, and studio ensemble, and has experience in chamber groups of various instrumentations. Jordyn is also a regular member of the Mission Opera pit orchestra and has played with the company since 2023. In addition to being a performer, Jordyn is a teacher, holding the position of brass coach at Chaminade College Preparatory High School, is a substitute band director for the middle and high school levels, and teaches private lessons on trumpet and piano.
